Private Locking is the function that allows you to keep the luggage and glove compartment locked even when you lend out your key or Personal Car Communicator.

To activate Private Locking, a miniature key incorporated within the remote control is used to lock the glove compartment. This stops both compartments from being unlocked with the central locking remote control, but allows the central locking system and ignition to be used as normal.
